What we check

Seven signals, plainly explained.

  • MINT AUTHORITY

    Can they mint more?

If the mint authority is not revoked, the deployer can create unlimited new tokens at any time.

Why: unlimited mint = instant rug.

  • FREEZE AUTHORITY

    Can they freeze your tokens?

A live freeze authority can stop transfers on any wallet, including yours, without warning.

    Why: frozen wallets can't sell.

  • UPGRADE AUTHORITY

    Can they rewrite the program?

For programs, an active upgrade authority means the code you audited can be swapped for new code tomorrow.

Why: new code, new attack surface.

  • LIQUIDITY POOL

    Is the liquidity locked?

We check whether LP tokens are held in a lock contract, burned, or still sitting in the deployer's wallet.

Why: unlocked LP can be pulled in one tx.

  • HOLDER CONCENTRATION

    Who actually holds it?

Top-10 concentration, insider wallets, and sniper clusters. A token held by three wallets isn't a market — it's a trap.

Why: concentration = volatility + manipulation risk.

  • DEPLOYER HISTORY

Has this wallet done this before?

We trace the deployer's prior launches, funding source, and ties to previously exposed rugs.

    Why: serial deployers leave fingerprints.

  • BUNDLE PATTERNS

    Was the launch coordinated?

Same-block buys across many wallets funded from one source — classic pre-launch bundle signal.

Why: bundles = hidden insider allocation.

How Opcode differs

Free rug checkers stop at the chain. We don't.

SCOPE

Code + operations + cross-layer. Every finding reviewed by a senior human.

Autoamted on-chain heuristics only. No code read, no context.

HUMAN SIGN-OFF

Yes — senior reviewer signs off every finding before publication.

No — purely algorithmic.

BADGE LIFECYCLE

Revoked if code changes, authority flips, or LP unlocks.

No badge. No ongoing verification.
